My Personal Airbrush Recommendations

Iwata Eclipse Airbrushes

Economical With Good Performance

Iwata came out with the Eclipse a number of years ago, and they have really done a nice job of creating an airbrush that is perfectly priced for the non professional airbrush artist. You might perceive my bias towards Iwata airbrushes. I can only recommend what I know are the best on the market for your money. My fellow professionals all use Iwata.

What Makes the Eclipse My Choice For The Beginner and Non Professional?

The Iwata Eclipse is perfect for the beginner because of it's low price. It is a real work horse and will hold up to some serious abuse. It is manufactured with the airbrush artist who is spraying heavier paints like acrylics, and urethanes. Surprisingly, it also does a decent job at detail spraying, though certainly not as well as the higher end airbrushes like the HP series or the Micron series. It has a large needle size and is capable of extreme variables in spray without changing tips like a lot of other airbrushes.

What Can I Use This Airbrush For?

You can use the Eclipse for automotive airbushing, for tshirts and shoes as well as hobbies like models, cakes and, yes, even finger nails and body painting.

These airbrushes are the choice for the beginner because of their economical price. You can purchase a complete set up for around $300.00.
